Prada has collaborated with Christophe Chemin who drew the prints for both the women's and men's Autumn/Winter 2016 collection. The Prada store in Sandton City launched the new collections  recently at an "animated evening" instore.

South African ingredients make the Ark of Taste

Carlo Petrini, the founder and guiding light of the global Slow Food Movement who protested against the first McDonald's in Italy, was hosted by the Slow Food Johannesburg and Cape Town Convivia in August 2016. Recently Petrini was made Special Ambassador Zero Hunger for Europe by The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, a UN agency that leads international efforts to defeat global hunger by 2030.

Vacheron Constantin, the world's oldest and most expensive watch manufacturer, has announced an artistic collaboration with Steve McCurry, the legendary photographer whose "Afghan Girl" on the cover of National Geographic remains one of the most arresting images of the 20th century.

The Jaguar F-Pace emits its signature yowl as it hurtles down the straight at the Aldo Scribante race track outside Port Elizabeth. On the first lap my knuckles tighten whitely on the seatbelt and I gasp involuntarily as we slice expertly round the tight corners like a surgeon's scalpel, then zigzag rapidly between the marker cones on the track. My mind flashes back to a former racing editor relating how he trained himself to mentally slo-mo at high speed. A faint nausea rises.
